SHOES!!!

I have been a mother for 8 months now.. and for some reason, I just NOW have realized that there are super cute shoes for babies! haha. I was at Target, and decided to browse through the shoe section.. silly me, I thought shoes like this were only for toddlers.. but they fit babies too!! There were super cute sandals, but I thought that I would stick with tennis shoes that will hopefully stay on Bella's feet. Here they are...

Oh and I wanted to mention - Bella enjoys clapping now. She claps when she is excited.

We love her smiles..


Another fun thing.. Bella likes to play "ball". We roll the ball to her and she rolls it back. I didn't know babies could do that!

As you can see.. she is wearing shoes here too.. these are from cousin Ellie - soft leather crib shoes. Bella loves them a lot, and really likes to put them in her mouth. I knew these shoes were for babies already.. it was the hard soled shoes that I didn't know about.

Many ask if Bella is crawling yet.. nope, not yet. She acts like she would love to move and get places, but she doesn't quite like to be on her knees yet. She will roll from place to place though. We think she is focusing all her energies on expanding her mind and vocabulary. She loves to jabber - and we pretend that we are hearing real words like Libby, Hi, Yeah, Aligator.. haha, but I think she is probably just putting all her sounds together at random times for now.

Oh and one more cute thing.. so the past few days Bella when I have gone to get Bella from her nap, she has been sucking on her paci. She used to not take a paci, but now thinks it is cool. Well, anyway, I picked her up and then took her paci out and she watched me toss it back into her crib as I explained that the paci is for bedtime. Today and once yesterday, when I've picked her up from her crib, on her own, she took her paci out and dropped it into the crib! I was sooooo amazed at her level of understanding!
